Another Good Bookstore
I have escaped the Washington DC heat with a quick trip to San Francisco this week. It was cold enough here last night to require a sweater and a leather jacket - I had forgotten what San Francisco "summers" are like!
I discovered a new bookstore to add to my list of favorite local bookstores: Book Passage, which is located in the beautifully renovated Ferry Building. Great fiction selection, and it even had a book about crossword puzzle addiction that I have been looking for for a while. Plus it has a view of the water and the Bay Bridge. What more could you ask for? If you're out this way, check it out.
I used to live in the Bay Area and remember visiting Book Passage in the Ferry Building. I worked a few blocks from there and would take the ferry in everyday. You are right - it is a great place. My ultimate favorite bookstore in the Bay Area is Moe's Books in Berkeley.

I loved Book Passage--found it on an all-too-brief trip to SF earlier this year. Within 2 minutes of getting there, the woman behind the the counter gave me a great book recommendation for the flight back to DC--Cane River by Lalita Tademy, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely go there again the next time I'm in SF.
