I think I liked this one more than you did, but I get what you're saying about Hannah. It was time for her to get a grip and grow up some.

Men and Dogs was my first Crouch experience. I had many of the same reactions that you did. I'm still thinking that I might give Girls in Trucks a try. The comment that Crouch makes about creating absolute wrecks is interesting, but like you I find it puts me off of her characters a little bit.

I haven't read any of these books. I'm not sure they are ones that might appeal to me although I am intrigued by books written with a Charleston setting.
