I totally understand what you mean about the audios. Congratulations Amber and Laurie!

I read and reviewed The False Friend last year; I thought it was good but not stupendous -- I don't know if that helps or not, lol.

I just finished The False Friend last night. You are right to bounce over it. The storyline was interesting and kept me reading because I wanted to find out what happened, but when I closed the book I said, "meh." Just not that good. I wouldn't waste valuable reading time with it, sorry to say.

I read The False Friend and didn't like it very much. I think Myla Goldberg writes well (I loved Bee Season), but I didn't like the main character and was very disappointed in the ending. I would keep bouncing if I were you!

I read I'd Know You Anywhere and had a few quibbles with some of the characters, but it was pretty good reading as far as that type of fiction goes.

I am not a reader of thrillers or crime fiction usually either, but once in awhile I find myself gravitating towards them. I could not put The Devil's Star down and have gotten everyone I know to read it. Will you be next? LOL.

Right now, I am almost through with The Little Stranger. It's very Dickensian to me which I like very much.

Ti - glad to hear that you liked IKYA. It is a very good read. (Or "listen"). Will look at The Devil's Star!

Thanks, all, for weighing in on The False Friend. I had a suspicion. :)
